The intern AI/ML engineer will assist in the design, development, and integration of machine learning algorithms in to proofs-of-concepts (PoC) and prototype applications. He/she will be responsible for developing the software code and integrate in to prototype system to verify the functional performance. He/she will be working with a dynamic and collaborative team that integrates a wide array of technologies into a cohesive IoT solution in the aerospace equipment predictive health management domain.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Design and develop machine learning algorithms for predictive health management applications
• Collaborate with team members to understand data requirements and implement algorithms for large-scale data analysis and prediction
• Analyze multilayered data sets, and optimize existing AI/ML libraries/frameworks per application needs.
• Select appropriate datasets and data representation methods
• Performs the cleaning and transforming of data from source systems into analytics models
• Identify differences in data distribution that could potentially affect model performance in real-world applications.
• Run machine learning tests and experiments, perform statistical analysis and fine-tuning using test results
• Perform model training/retraining when necessary with modified datasets
