Title: VP of Applied AI / Director of Applied AI

Location: East Coast US Preferred and/or London

Our client is multinational technology conglomerate that services the financial services and professional services industries, providing truly embedded solutions for real time data, reports and enterprise solutions.

They are seeking a diverse technology leader in the AI space that has led ML research and engineering teams to deliver cutting edge solutions into new and legacy products. This roles reports into the Global Head of AI.

Your Responsibilities
• Deploy AI models to production, and when required, integrating with organizations core systems including but not limited to Search, Discovery, Recommendation Engines & NLP related projects
• Lead a team of ML researchers and Engineers to deploy the latest AI/ML models into production
• Accountable for ensuring AI engineering frameworks, ML systems, data pipelines and security with enterprise value priorities and are deployable.
• Engage with business and technical executives and other leaders/SMEs to socialize AI, model integrations, and/or model deployments.
• Advanced Retrieval Techniques: i.e Employ cutting-edge retrieval techniques to harness the power of Large Language Models (LLMs) within the enterprise environment.
• Semantic Information Retrieval Frameworks: i.e Utilize Azure Cognitive Search, LucidWorks/Solr 9, Google Cloud Search, and AWS Kendra to establish enterprise-wide semantic information retrieval systems.
• Implements the policies, practices, and procedures of the company and Information Technology organization.

Your background
• Technical Expert: hands on experience developing state of the art AI capabilities, including large language models.
• Led and managed a technical organisation as a Director, VP or CTO (Directors, Senior Managers and Managers)
• Had a diverse experience of various domains that utilise AI technologies including but not limited to E-commerce, Finance, SaaS etc
• Strong understanding AI architectures and database, i.e. RAG Architectures
• Experience leading large teams and portfolio: Global AI and Gen AI experience solving technical challenges to support AI delivery, thought leadership and scalable solutions to drive business impact.
• Implementation experience: Proven experience with large scale implementation of AI solutions and complex projects
